Jag älskar dig

It's been one year exactly since we broke up.

Jag älskar dig fortfarande mycket.

Alright! Today I'm going to talk about

the Swedish verb.









The Swedish verbs can be categorized into 4 groups.

1. (ar)  e.g. älskar (love)

2. (er)   e.g. köper (buy)

3. (r)     e.g. tror (think)

4. irregular verb


Basically, there are 5 forms for each verb in Swedish.

a. the imperative          verb
b. the infinitive      verb + a
c. the present        verb + r
d. the past            verb + de
e. the supine           verb + t

the following are some of the (ar) verb

[imperative / infinitive / present / past / supine]

Jag älskar dig : I love you

älska / älska / älskar / älskade / älskat

Hon talar svenska : She speaks Swedish

tala / tala / talar / talade / talat

Han frågade var jag bodde : He asked where I lived

fråga / fråga / frågar / frågade / frågat

Vänta på bussen---wait for the bus

vänta / vänta / väntar / väntade / väntat

In the (ar) verb, the imperative and the infinitive forms have the same spelling.

Swedish pronouns

I just started to learn svenska a month ago.

And I found it quite difficult in pronunciation.

The accent is a lot like German.




Anyway I will blog down what I learn in svenska project to my blog.
I'll start it with the pronouns
1. Personal pronouns
2. Possessive pronouns
3. Relative pronouns
4. Demonstrative pronouns
5. Indefinite pronouns
6. Interrogative pronouns

1. Personal pronouns : singular and plural
Singular pronouns (subjective / objective pronouns)
     >>>     Jag / mig
You    >>>     Du / dig
He      >>>     Han / honom
She     >>>     Hon / henne
It         >>>    Den-Det/den-det
Plural pronouns (subjective / objective pronouns)
We      >>>     Vi / oss
You    >>>     Ni / er
They   >>>    De(pronounced "dom") / dem(pronounced "dom")


2. Possessive pronouns
Singular
My       >>>     min/mitt/mina
Your   >>>     din/ditt/dina
His      >>>     hans 
Her      >>>     hennes 
Its        >>>    dess
Plural
Our      >>>     vår / våran / vårat

3. Relative pronouns
som : who, whom
>>> Pojken som gick förbi är min bror : The boy who walked past is my brother
vilken : which
>>> Företaget sålde i juni för 20 miljoner, vilket betyder en femprocentig ökning : company sales were 20 million in June, which is a five per cent increase


4. Demonstrative pronouns
denna / denne / detta / dessa : this/these
>>> denna dag : this day
>>> detta hus---this building
>>> dessa böcker---these books
den / det / dess / de : that
>>> den boken har jag inte läst : I have not read that book
>>> den här (boken) : this (book) ---> idiom
>>> de där (skorna) : those (shoes) ---> idiom


5. Indefinite pronouns : singular vs plural
Singular  e.g. 
another        >>> annan
Plural  e.g.
both            >>> båda
few             >>> 


6. Interrogative pronouns
Vad?       >>>   what?
Vem?      >>>   who?
Var?        >>>   where?
Vart?       >>>    whither whereto?
Hur?        >>>    how?
När?        >>>   when?
Varför?    >>>   why?
Vilken/vilket/vilka?  >>>which?

Medical schools in Sweden

Medical education in Sweden begins with a five-and-a-half year undergraduate university program.


After completion, students are awarded a University Medical Degree(MD) (Läkarexamen).

Following this the National board of health and welfare (Socialstyrelsen) requires a minimum of 18 months of clinical internship (Allmäntjänstgöring) before granting a medical license.



This internship consists of 

SURGERY (3–6 months)

INTERNAL MEDICINE (3–6 months)

PSYCHIATRY (3 months)

FAMILY MEDICINE (6 months).
