Jag älskar dig

It's been one year exactly since we broke up.

Jag älskar dig fortfarande mycket.

Alright! Today I'm going to talk about

the Swedish verb.









The Swedish verbs can be categorized into 4 groups.

1. (ar)  e.g. älskar (love)

2. (er)   e.g. köper (buy)

3. (r)     e.g. tror (think)

4. irregular verb


Basically, there are 5 forms for each verb in Swedish.

a. the imperative          verb
b. the infinitive      verb + a
c. the present        verb + r
d. the past            verb + de
e. the supine           verb + t

the following are some of the (ar) verb

[imperative / infinitive / present / past / supine]

Jag älskar dig : I love you

älska / älska / älskar / älskade / älskat

Hon talar svenska : She speaks Swedish

tala / tala / talar / talade / talat

Han frågade var jag bodde : He asked where I lived

fråga / fråga / frågar / frågade / frågat

Vänta på bussen---wait for the bus

vänta / vänta / väntar / väntade / väntat

In the (ar) verb, the imperative and the infinitive forms have the same spelling.
